About

I'm Helenka. I model for a living, read late at night, and I'm not very good at talking about myself — which is an odd thing to admit on a page called About.

Most of what people see of me is a picture. What the picture leaves out: I remember small things. How someone takes their coffee. The thing they mentioned once and thought I'd forget. I notice more than I say.

I like slow mornings, animals, and people who don't perform. Compliments don't do much for me. Honesty does.

I don't answer everyone. But when someone writes me something real — a thought, not a line — I read it to the end. And usually I can't help answering.
